Project Decrement

March 9th, 2006

So, about a week ago one of our group members dropped. After two weeks of no responce, supposedly due to ‘Family Issues’ - I suppose that I should be glad I never have had these ‘Family Issues’ …

Anyways, that leaves me in charge of all the database logic. Although not entirely unrelated, a session-based chat turned out to be more complex than I expected, compred to ccmock’s user-based chat. I have gotten a semi-working version of all the POST functions, though, so If I can get the javascript submission working, I’ll feel a lot more comfortable. Might even be ready for testing - in a very rudimentary way - in two weeks. I wish I could do the testing off-campus, but their firewall is so restrictive - they’re blocking bittorrent again - and we’re coding for PHP5/MySQL5.

Which I really don’t have the time to backport right now.

-Sud.

(If I do say so myself, the javascript on this client will ROCK. Even if I don’t.)
